| UMTS/WCDMA Inter-System Network Optimization Workshop
|
Length:
8-24 hours (1-3 days)
|
Prerequisites:
WCDMA (UMTS) Network Optimization course, or equivalent. WCDMA (UMTS) Network Optimization Workshop (core modules)
|
Audience:
This course is for the experienced telecommunications professional involved in the day to day network planning and optimization of WCDMA (UMTS) networks.
|
Course Description:
Network deployment workshops are intended for RF engineers as a bridge between theoretical course and real life experience. The network deployment workshop provides the student with knowledge to efficiently use network deployment tools (network planning and network optimization) to successfully deploy a UMTS network.
|
Objectives:
This course enables a student to:
- Describe the different methods to perform inter-system changes and the associated trade-offs
- Describe the call flow associated with inter-system changes
- Describe the main parameters involved in compressed mode operation and indicate typical settings.
- Setup inter-system boundaries, based on typical network planning outputs
- Define KPI to be used to evaluate the performance of inter-system change
|
Media:
A combination of instructor lecture, interactive discussion, and student text.
