This course is for telecommunications professionals who desire to learn more about HSDPA fundamentals.

Course Description:
Explains the key features of High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) defined in UMTS Releases 5 and 6. Describes Release 99 WCDMA limitations and how these are overcome by the enhanced features offered by HSDPA. Key enhancements discussed include multicode operation, adaptive modulation and coding, fast link adaptation and scheduling, and Hybrid-ARQ.

Describe the HSDPA channels and their functions.

Illustrate the maximum HSDPA data rate.
